Volunteer Workdays for CornerStone’s new garden
After months of fund raising, construction of CornerStone’s newest garden is finally underway.
“Ecology of Place”, by Suzanne Biaggi, is a garden that is sure to delight and enhance the minds of visitors with the interplay of the fabricated as a context to better connect with the natural. Like many of the gardens at CornerStone, this installation contains elements that will need to be handmade. In the last garden, “White Cloud”, the work involved hand forming 1,200 clouds out of wire. This garden will feature sculptural vines, which will need handmade metal “leaves”.
The volunteer gatherings are facilitated by CornerStone owner Teresa Raffo, and are designed to be both fun & productive, and will include a break for a complimentary lunch (graciously provided by Park 121 restaurant), and wine toast to conclude the workday.
We are looking for people who have strong, steady hands to join us for this volunteer opportunity. Please RSVP if you would like to participate: [email protected]
