[NINNANANNA] A Lullaby Garden :
Andy Cao & Xavier Perrot

In 1998, Andy Cao created his famous "Glass Garden" in Los Angeles. The garden was a stylized landscape inspired by his memories of his childhood in Vietnam. The garden used 45 tons of recycled glass pebbles. In 2001 the International Garden Festival at Chaumont, France selected his design "Desert Sea". Two years later he won the prestigious Prix de Rome in landscape architecture.

A Lullaby Garden was inspired by the 19th century woodblock prints of Japanese artist Hokusai, the Lullaby Garden is a vision of lines. These curvaceous, flowing lines roll and rise, taking the visitor on a journey over golden field and into ocean waves that draw one deeper toward a dark whirlpool emanating soft Vietnamese lullabies.
